Stop in this summer at the Old Jail Museum and Genealogy Library at the corner of Indiana and Main Streets in Warsaw. There are two new displays: Native Americans and a display honoring Vietnam War Veterans. Plus there are thousands of historical and nostalgic items displayed throughout the two floors of the old jail. The Museum and Library are open Wed-Fri 10-4, Sat 10-2.
The Pound Store in Oswego is another interesting step back in time. This building was erected in 1838 and was a trading post, general store and post office. This museum is open on Sundays, 1-4, June through September.
There are so many wonderful opportunities in our county for a day trip; Syracuse-Wawasee Historical Museum, Winona History Center, Bell Aircraft Museum and all of the Libraries that provide special summer programming. Please take a minute to share your programs here, attach a flyer or newsletter, so we can all be aware of the programs and opportunities around the county.
